Egg Yolk (Yellow)
R1: 6 sc on magic circle loop (6)
R2: 2 sc in each stitch (12)
R3: (1 sc, 2 sc in next stitch)* repeat (18)
R4: 1 sc in each stitch (18)
Tie off.
Egg White
R1: 6 sc on magic circle loop (6)
R2: 2 sc in each stitch (12)
R3: (1 sc, 2 sc in next stitch)* repeat (18)
R4: 1 sc in each stitch (18)
R5: sc in 3 stitches, 2 sc in each of 6 stitches, sc in 3 stitches, 2 sc in each of 6 stitches (27)
R6: 1 sc in each stitch (27)
R7: (1 sc, 3 sc)* repeat
Now comes your choice, how ruffled do you want the edge to look?
R8: (1 sc, 3 sc)* repeat=for very ruffled look, (1 sc, 2sc)* repeat=less ruffled
If you scroll down to look at the images you can see a slight change in the ruffles. They are more obvious in person. You could also just sc in each stitch for a flater look.
Tie off. Taking the yellow yarn stitched the pieces together. The stitches will show on the bottom, but I figure since it is a sunny side up egg the bottom doesn’t really matter. I put my yellow pieces off to the side a bit.
