Main Body

Make a magic circle

Round 1: ch 1, sc 12 into the circle (12) *DO NOT* pull the circle closed

*fit the magic circle around the stick of the honey dipper and tighten, slip off stick to continue rounds

Round 2: *sc 1 in the first st, sc 2 in the next st, repeat from * around (18)

Round 3: sc 1 in each st around (18)

Round 4: *sc 1 in the first st, sc 2 in the next st, repeat from * around (27)

Round 5: sc 1 in each st around (27)

Round 6: *sc 1 in the first two sts, sc2 in the next st, repeat from * around (36)

Round 7-8: sc 1 in each st around (36)

Round 9: *sc 1 in the first two sts, sc 2 in the next st, repeat from * around (27)

Round 10: sc 1 in each st around (27)

*insert the honey dipper through the beginning circle and continue
**add eyes on all creatures except the turtle

Round 11: *sc 1 in the first st, sc2tog, repeat from * around (18)

Round 12: sc 1 in each st around (18)

*add stuffing

Round 13: *sc 1 in the first st, sc2tog, repeat from * around (12)

Round 14: sc 1 in each st around (12)

Finish off and use tail to weave end closed and secure

Main body: use Cardinal through round 5 and Mint from round 6 to the end

*use crochet thread to sew “seeds” onto the red portion to create the fake food crochet look

Eyes: insert between rounds 6 and 7, approximately 1.25” apart

Fins: Row 1 – ch 5, sc 1 in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across (4)
Row 2 – turn, sc2tog twice (2)
Row 3 – turn, sc2tog, ch 1 and finish off

*make 6 fins, 4 cardinal and 2 mint; sew together 1 pair of Cardinal+Cardinal (sew to the top of the body) and 2 pairs of Cardinal+Mint (sew on the sides of the body at the color change)
**use crochet thread to sew “seeds” onto the red portions

Tail: Row 1 – ch 6, sc in the second ch from the hook, hdc 1, dc 1, tc 1 in two sts (1
sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 tc)

*make 2 and sew together, sew to the back of the body; once sewn on, use the same yarn tail to sew around the middle of the tailpiece and secure to the body (this creates the look of the shark’s tail)
