Worsted Weight 100% Cotton Yarn (#4)

  • Any Color [30yds]

G/6/4.00mm Hook

1/2-1″ wide spool of ribbon (or braided elastic)

Yarn Needle

Hot Glue Gun / Sticks

Scissors

Optional: Puffy Paint

Instructions

R1. Ch 7, sc in back bump of 2nd ch and in each ch across, turn (6)
R2. Ch 1, sc across, turn (6)

R3-44. Repeat R2; Fasten at the end of R44.

Fold strip at Row 18 & sew down each side to attach. Do not sew across the top; keep it open.

Hide all strings.

Optional: Add decorations to the front with Puffy Paint. Buttons or crocheted appliqués could also be used!

Wrap ribbon around journal (or sketch pad) cover, top to bottom, so that the ribbon overlaps about 1/2″. Hot glue together.

Hot glue the pouch to the front center of the ribbon, covering where the ribbon overlaps.
