- Medium weight (size 4) yarn in 2 colors
- Tapestry needle
- Pipe Cleaners (4 per candy cane)

hk- hook

sc- single crochet
Sizing:
You can add more or less rows to increase or decrease the size of the candy cane.
The pattern makes a candy cane that measures 5″ long x 2″ wide.
Pattern:
With color 1, ch 5
Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from the hk and each ch to end, turn (4).
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (4).
Row 3: Switch to color 2, ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (4).
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (4).
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until you have 22 rows.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Filling:
Lay 4 pipe cleaners together on the piece you just made.
Trim ends to fit.
Twist pipe cleaners together.
With your blunt needle and a long piece of yarn, sew the ends together with the pipe cleaners inside.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
