Materials

chunky weight yarn or yarn of your choice in 3 colours: body colour, ear accent colour, and dungaree colour
• dk yarn in pink for the nose
• 4mm crochet hook, or appropriate hook for your yarn
• 10mm safety eyes
• stuffing
• darning needle, scissors, stitch markers

Head

Insert safety eyes between r6 & r7, 7 stitches apart. Ensure the eyes are on the top side of the nose, where the increases are. Begin stuffing and continue throughout.

Fo and sew hole closed. Using pink dk yarn, embroider a nose onto the point of the snout.

Outer Ears

Make 2 in body colour
Repeat the steps for the inner ear, but do not fo. Place the inner ear against the outer ear (with right sides facing out), and crochet them together.
Slst and fo, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Arms

Make 2 in body colour
• R1: 6sc in mr [6]
• R2: inc x6 [12]
• R3-6 (4 rounds): 12sc [12]
Slst and fo, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Stuff the arms.

Legs & Body

In body colour
• R1: 6sc in mr [6]
• R2: inc x6 [12]
• R3-5 (3 rounds): 12sc [12]
Fo here for first leg. Repeat rounds 1-5 to make second leg, but do not fo. Ch1 and join to first leg with a sc. This is the first stitch of r7.
• R6: 12sc around first leg, inc on chain, 12sc around second leg, inc on chain [28]
• R7: (13sc, inc) x2 [30]
• R8-11 (4 rounds): 30sc [30]
Stuff legs and continue stuffing body throughout.

Assembly

Sew head onto body, making sure the head is centred as you sew.

Sew arms onto body towards the front, between rounds 15- 10.Sew ears onto sides of head, between rounds 10 and 11. Sew 6 stitches of the ear.

Dungarees

In dungaree colour
• R1: ch15, then make a sc in the first chain (make sure the chain is not twisted). Make 14 more sc. [15]
• R2: 15sc [15]
Fo. Repeat r1-2, but do not fo. Ch1 and connect to first trouser leg with a sc. This is the first sc of r3.
• R3: 15sc around first leg, inc on chain, 15sc around second leg, increase on chain [34]
• R4-6 (3 rounds): 34sc [34]
Slst and fo.
Note!
You may need to add an extra round to the dungarees depending on your tension, and where you sewed the arms on!
Try them on your mouse to check the fit.

Bib & straps

In dungaree colour
Reattach yarn at the front of the dungarees, underneath the armpit. It is helpful to put the dungarees on the mouse to see where to start.
• R1: 7sc [7]
• R2-4 (3 rounds): ch1 & turn, 7sc [7]
Do not fo. Ch14 and slst on the opposite back side of the trousers. Fo.
Reattach yarn at the other top corner of the bib. Ch14 and slst on the opposite back side of the trousers, crossing over the first strap in an x shape.
Fo and weave in all ends.
Note!
You may need more or fewer than 14 chains depending on your tension! Make the straps as long or short as fits your mouse.
