Crochet Lace Socks

Materials for lace socks

  • DK Weight # 3 Yarn, Nylon blend yarn of your choice. I used one skein of 100 gr
  • ( Please take a look at yardage)
  • weight 3 yarn symbol
  • Hook: US Size (4.5 mm)
  • Yarn Needle, Scissors, Measuring Tape

Gauge

15 st X 5 rows ( Y Stitch)

Sizes

  • This sample is 16” in height and 8” in circumference ( but it is very stretchy)
  • It is good for 8.5-10 shoe size women
  • Please make a gauge with your yarn and hook size to measure your size

Stitch Key

  • Ch = Chain
  • Sc = Single Crochet
  • Dc = Double Crochet
  • Hdc = Half Double Crochet
  • Tr = Treble Crochet
  • SlSt = Slip Stitch
  • St = Stitch


Specialty Stitches

Y Stitch – will be explained in the instructions as it is the main stitch


Notes

  • This pattern is written in US terminology
  • Ch 3 at the beginning of the row does count as a stitch
  • Ch 1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch
  • This pattern is worked in rounds
  • You can work this pattern with one color or multiple as you wish.


Instructions

Make 2

Chain 15

Round 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc 1 in next 12 ch, dc 1 in last same ch, dc 1 on the opposite side of the stitches in next 12 st, dc 1 in same last st, sl st to 1st (28 st)

Round 2: Ch 1, sc 1 in 1st st from hook, sc 1 in every st around, Slst to 1st st

Round 3-5: repeat round 2

Round 6: Ch 4, dc 1 in 3rd ch from hook, *Y st (skip 2 st, tr 1, ch 1, dc 1 in center of the last tr made), repeat from * around, Slst to 1st ch 1 in middle of Y st

Round 7- 14: repeat row 6

Repeat round 6 until your desired height if you want a higher sock.

Round 15: Ch 1, sc 1 in 1st st from hook, sc 1 in ch1 space, sc 1 in dc, sc 1 in every st around to end of the round, Slst to 1st st

Round 16: Ruffle round, Ch 3, dc 2 in 1st st from hook, dc 3 in next st and dc 3 in every st around to end of round, Slst to 1st st.


Finishing

Cut yarn and weave in ends.

Optional: make a chain and weave it in between round 15 round to tighten your socks

Optional 2: sew an elastic around round 15
