Crochet Hook: Size G-6 (4.25 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
TO CHANGE COLORS
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color yo and pull new color through remaining loops on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.
DISHCLOTH
Note:Keep both colors attached to your work, working over unused color. Be sure to change colors one stitch before the end of the round to create the swirl pattern.
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Black, ch 3, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 1, 8 sc in ring; change color to White. (8 sc) DO NOT JOIN. MARK BEG OF EACH ROUND.
Rnd 2: With White, 2 sc in each sc around; pick up Black. (16 sc)
Rnd 3: With Black, [sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] around, picking up White before ending the round so that White overlaps the previous White round.
Rnd 4: [Sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc] around, picking up Black one st before end of rnd.
Rnd 5: [Sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc] around, picking up White one st before end of rnd.
Rnd 6: [Sc in each of next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc] around, picking up Black one st before end of rnd.
Rnd 7: [Sc in each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc] around, picking up White one st before end of rnd.
Rnd 8: [Sc in each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc] around, picking up Black one st before end of rnd.
