- Ww yarn in red and green, I used Red Heart Super Saver in Cherry Red and Medium Thyme
- J hook
- Scissors
- Needle (to weave in ends)

Notes
All terms American. If pattern reads «sc, sc2tog, 2sc» it would be read as, " single crochet, single crochet 2 stitches together, 2 single crochet in the next stitch", directions are to be repeated to end of row/round unless otherwise noted. As with any pattern, be sure to read through once before beginning, and don't forget to mark your rounds! (I use a bit of contrasting yarn)
Begin
With green (med thyme)
1- Foundation hdc 50 (50) ch1 turn at end of every row
2- blo: hdc (50) change to cherry red, do not cut med thyme we will pick up again ch1 turn
3- blo: hdc 13, sk 3 sts, hdc 34 (47sts, 3ch) ch1 turn
4- blo: hdc 33, ch5, sk: 1 st, 3ch, 1 st, then hdc 12 (45 sts, 5 ch) change to med thyme do not cut yarn, ch1 turn
5- blo: hdc12, ch5, sk 5ch, hdc33 (45 sts, 5ch) ch1 turn
6- blo: hdc33, hdc in 2chs, ch3, sk 3ch, hdc12 (47 sts, 3ch) change to red ch 1 turn
7- blo: hdc12, hdc in 3chs, hdc35 (50) ch1 turn
8- blo: hdc (50) change to med thyme, ch1 turn
9-19- blo: hdc (50) ch1 turn, continue to change colors every 2 rows

If you find this is too long or too short add or subtract rows but end with 2rows of red to keep stripes even.
Finishing
Line up first and last row, Sl st both ends together, I worked in blo-flo to join.
