Crochet Pumpkin Scarf

Materials: 

Red Heard — 1 skein for pumpkins of 4 ply yarn, I used a dark orange (your choice of color) and small amount of green for stems. ( I used a hunter green). Yellow felt for face. Fabric Glue.

NOTE: scarf is worked in ½’s.

Pumpkins — make 2

Row 1: ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (9)

Row 2: ch 1, 2 sc, sc across to last st, 2 sc, turn. (11)

Row 3: ch 1, 2 sc, sc across to last st, 2 sc, turn. (13)

Row 4-8: ch 1, sc across, turn.

Row 9: ch 1, dec sc, sc across to last 2 sts, dec sc, turn (11)

Row 10: ch 1, dec sc, sc across to last 2 sts, dec sc, turn. (9)

Row 11: ch 1, sc 3 times, sc 3 times in back loop only, sc 3 times, turn. NOTE: free front loops will be used for stem later.

Row 12: ch 1, 2 sc, sc across to last st, 2 sc, turn. (11)

Row 13: ch 1, 2 sc, sc across to last st, 2 sc, turn. (13)

Row 14-18: ch 1, sc across, turn.

Row 19: ch 1, dec sc, sc across to last 2 sts, dec sc, turn (11)

Row 20: ch 1, dec sc, sc across to last 2 sts, dec sc, turn. (9)

Row 21: ch 1, sc 3 times, sc 3 times in back loop only, sc 3 times, turn.
Rep rows 12-21 8 more times for child size and 10 more times for adult sizes.

Stem

Row 1: with front of scarf towards you attach green yarn in free loop on right side, ch 1, sc in same st, sc 2 times, turn.

Row 2 & 3: ch 1, sc across, turn. Fasten off at end.

Whip stitch 2 halves together at tops. Block scarf now before embellishing.

Cut felt eyes, noses, and mouths to decorate pumpkins. I left some plane, it’s your choice how you want to do the faces. Attach with fabric glue. It should be washable.
