Materials Needed & Measurements:
- Suggested Yarn: Worsted Weight Yarn(Red Heart Soft or Lion Brand Wool-Ease).
- Yarn Measurements: Approximately 200-250 yards of worsted weight yarn for each.

Stitching Instructions for Making the Valerie’s Knee High Socks Crochet Pattern:
Cuff and Foot (Rounds 1-6)
- Round 1:
- Chain 7.
- In the second chain from the hook, make 2 Hdc.
- Hdc in the next 4 chains.
- Make 5 Hdc in the final chain (working along the backside of the chain).
- Hdc in the next 4 chains.
- Make 3 Hdc in the beginning chain.
- Join with a Slip Stitch (SS) to the first Hdc made. (You should have 18 stitches).
- Round 2:
- Chain 1.
- 2 Hdc in the next 2 stitches.
- Hdc in the next 4 stitches.
- 2 Hdc in the next 5 stitches.
- Hdc in the next 4 stitches.
- 2 Hdc in the next 3 stitches.
- Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (28 stitches).
- Rounds 3-4:
- Chain 1.
- 2 Hdc in the first stitch.
- Hdc around the rest of the round.
- Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30 stitches).
- Rounds 5-6:
- Chain 1.
- Hdc around.
- Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (30 stitches).
Leg Portion (Rounds 7-13)
- Round 7:
- Chain 4 (counts as a first Dc and chain 1 space).
- Dc in the same stitch.
- Skip the next 2 stitches.
- In the next stitch, make (Dc, chain 1, Dc).
- Skip the next 2 stitches.
- Repeat from (Dc, chain 1, Dc) and skip 2 stitches around.
- Join with a SS to the 3rd chain of the initial Ch 4. (You should have 10 V-stitches).
- Rounds 8-13 (14, 15):
- SS into the next Chain 1 space.
- Chain 4 (counts as first Dc and chain 1 space).
- Dc in the same space.
- Repeat (Dc, chain 1, Dc) in each Chain 1 space around.
- Join with a SS to the 3rd chain of the initial Ch 4.
- Repeat for 6 more rounds (you should have 10 V-stitches each round).
Heel Opening to Cuff (Right Sock)
- Round 1:
- SS into the next Chain 1 space.
- Chain 4 (counts as a first Dc and chain 1 space).
- Dc in the same space.
- (Dc, chain 1, Dc) in the next 7 Chain 1 spaces.
- Loosely Chain 12.
- Skip the next 2 V-stitches.
- Join with a SS to the 3rd chain of the Ch 4.
- Round 2:
- SS into the next Chain 1 space.

- Dc in the same space.

Both Socks (Rounds 3-32)
- Rounds 3-18:

- Join with a SS to the 3rd chain of the initial Ch 4.
- Rounds 19-32:
- Repeat Round 3-18 for additional rows, gradually increasing the number of V-stitches as necessary. Continue until the sock is at the desired height.
Finishing the Sock (Heel)
Once the leg is at the right height, the heel will be worked using sc, hdc, and hdc2tog. The heel is shaped by decreasing the stitches and closing the gap formed by the opening.
