Materials: Sport Weight Yarn in Yellow. Size F-5 hook. OR Worsted Weight Yarn and a Size H-8 hook
Size: Approximately 4 inches across, 2 inches tall.
FLOWERS (Make 2)
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 3, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 1, 12 sc in ring; join with sl st to first sc. (12 sc) DO NOT FINISH OFF. Work continues in Rows.
First Petal
Row 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 3 sc. (3 sc)(Mark next stitch.) Leave remaining sts unworked.
Note: Ch 1, turn at beginning of each Row.
Row 2: Sc in each sc across.
Row 3: Skip first sc, sc in next 2 sc. (2 sc)
Row 4: Skip first sc, sc in next sc. (1 sc)
Row 5: Sc in only sc. Sl st in sides of rows to marked stitch.
Next Petal
Row 1: (Sl st, ch 1, sc) in marked stitch, sc in next 2 sc. (3 sc) (Mark next stitch) Leave remaining sts unworked.
Note: Ch 1, turn at beginning of each Row.
Rows 2-5: Rep Rows 2-5 of First Petal.
Repeat Next Petal until 4 petals are made. Finish off and weave in ends.
FLOWER CUP
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 3, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 1, 9 sc in ring; join with sl st to first sc. (9 sc)
Rnds 2-3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc around; join.
Rnd 4: Turn, (ch 3, sl st in next sc) around. Finish off and weave in ends.
Assembly — Use photo as guide.
— With right sides facing, place one flower on top of another so that all petals show. Glue or sew flower centers in place.
— Glue or sew the bottom of Cup to center of Flower.
— Optional: Glue pearl stamens into the center of the cup.
