Step by step Pattern

Ghost Body:

  1. Magic Ring: Wrap the yarn around your fingers to create a ring, insert hook, pull through and twist 180°, yarn over and pull through to secure the ring. Adjust the loop on your hook so it's not too tight or loose.
  2. Round 1: Place 6 single crochet (sc) stitches into the magic ring. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.
  3. Round 2: Increase by placing two sc in each stitch around (12 stitches total).
  4. Round 3: [One sc, increase] repeat around (18 stitches total).
  5. Round 4 to Round 9: Place one sc in each stitch around to create the height of the ghost.
  6. Round 10: Scallop Round: 3 sc in next stitch, slip stitch in the next stitch, repeat from * to * around.

Eyes:

  1. Mark the position of the safety eyes between Round 5 and 6, about five stitches apart.
  2. Use the darning needle to make holes if your stitches are too tight, and place the safety eyes.

Blush:

  1. With pink yarn, sew a blush spot right underneath where each eye will be.

Ghost Hands:

  1. Start with a Slip Knot: Chain 2.
  2. Row 1: Single crochet in the second chain from hook, fasten off leaving a tail.
  3. Sew the hands to the ghost, two rows above the scallops and two stitches away from the eyes.

Ghost Hat:

  1. Magic Ring: Place 6 sc into the magic ring.
  2. Round 1: Join to the first stitch.
  3. Round 2: Place one sc in each stitch around.
  4. Round 3: Alternate one sc with an increase all around.
  5. Round 4: One sc in each stitch around, forming a cone shape.
  6. Round 5 (Brim): Increase in every stitch around.
  7. Slip Stitch: To join and finish the round, cut the yarn and pull through tight.
  8. Final Touches: Use black yarn to wrap around the hat for decorative band and glue the hat onto the ghost.

Finishing:

  1. Sew or glue the hat onto the ghost. Position the hat slightly to one side.
  2. Weave in all ends and trim any excess yarn.
  3. Add any additional decorations or personal touches as desired.
